He left Yahoo. His colleague Jan Koum and Acton developed WhatsApp, the mobile messaging application. The duo, who once applied for Facebook jobs but faced rejection. Acton left WhatsApp in September 2017 to start a non-profit organization founded in February 2018. Brian began the Signal Foundation with American computer security researcher Moxie Marlinspike.

The business started after $50 million was invested by Brian. It provides a loan to run the company. The load increased to $105,000,400, which is payable by February 28, 2068. Brian is currently the world’s 836th wealthiest person, with a net worth of $2.5 billion.
