Musk’s own net worth, which is now equal to the annual GDP of a small to the medium-sized economy, has largely powered Tesla’s fortunes. According to estimates from the International Monetary Fund, if Musk’s wealth is ranked alongside any country’s GDP globally, he would be the 50th wealthiest country in the world, out of 195 countries.
